With the approval by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the establishment of a geothermal greenhouse agriculture specialized organized industrial zone (named TDIOSB for it's acronym in the Turkish language) near Transmark Renewables' geothermal power plant in Çanakkale is one step nearer. Residual heat from the power plants in the area can be a very environmentally friendly and cost effective energy source to increase food production, while the establishment of the TDIOSB is expected to greatly increase local employment opportunities.
